TONY GARNIER was born and educated in New Zealand. After graduating from the University of Auckland with a Master of Arts in Philosophy with Chinese in support, he became a member of the New Zealand Parliamentary Press Gallery for 17 years from where he wrote a weekly political column ‘Weekwatch.’ Winner of a number of NZ Journalist Union awards for critical and investigative journalism in the 1970s, he is the author of five books, two best sellers, and numerous research reports, including commentary from visits to more than 40 countries.
His most recent book is “FROM GOD TO CLIMATE CHANGE: The journey of Albert Garnier’s 30-year mission in China, to scientist son Ben’s fight with the riddle of the world”.
